Vikas Divyakirti is a prominent figure whose videos often go viral on social media platforms such as Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook. His reels and videos garner millions of views. But who exactly is Vikas Divyakirti? His interviews and short videos continue to capture widespread attention and generate buzz across social media.
Vikas Divyakirti is once again in the spotlight, and this time it’s due to his IAS coaching center, Drishti IAS. Following the death of UPSC aspirants in the Old Rajendra Nagar in Delhi, Drishti IAS, a coaching institute for Civil Services candidates, has announced that they will offer free academic support, including classes for general studies, test series, and optional subjects, to current students of Rau’s IAS.
The move comes after the tragic incident where three students lost their lives when water flooded the basement of the Raus IAS coaching center in Rajendra Nagar. As a result, authorities have started taking action against coaching centers in the area, including Drishti IAS, and are investigating the illegal activities taking place there.
Hailing from Bhiwani, Haryana, Dr. Vikas Divyakirti was born on December 26, 1973. He is a well-known name among UPSC aspirants. After pursuing his Master’s degree in Hindi literature in 1995, he appeared for the civil services examination in 1996 and secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 384 on his first attempt. Although he was offered the post of CISF Commandant, he was not keen on the role, and due to medical reasons, he did not take it up. Instead, he joined the Ministry of Home Affairs as a desk officer, but he chose to leave this position in 1997 to pursue his passion for teaching.

He began his professional career as an assistant professor at Delhi University. In 1996, he cleared the Civil Services Examination in his first attempt and worked for a year at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. After that, he resigned from his post, returned to teaching, and established ‘Drishti IAS.’’
