“Modi will be in Gujarat Friday. He will hold thanksgiving meetings in Vadodara, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar,” a senior Gujarat government official told IANS. Also Read - COVID19: Check Latest Travel Guidelines For Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand And Karnataka
Modi, the Gujarat Chief minister, led an agressive election campaign, holding over 440 rallies, 5,000 public contacts programmes and travelled 300,000 kms. Initial trends are showing a clear sweep for the BJP.
BJP have so far swept the poll counts in most of the states. Modi himself has been comfortably leading in Varanasi and Vadodra.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is sweeping the Lok Sabha Elections 2014 with the party looking good for a landslide victory. They are already leading in more than half the parliamentary constituencies and Narendra Modi looks set to become the Prime Minister of India. In many constituencies, that were considered the Indian National Congress’s (INC) strongholds has seen the BJP rise and lead the polls.
