Actors Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 is all set to hit the screens on November 29. It is one of the costliest films ever made in which Khiladi Kumar will be seen as an antagonist. But do you know, he was not the first choice for this role. Yes, during a press conference, filmmaker S Shankar revealed that Arnold Schwarzenegger was approached for the negative role. During a press conference, the filmmaker said, “I was thinking to make this film International. We had thought of casting Arnold Schwarzenegger. And we had talks also and we had allotted dates also. But somehow things did not work out as Hollywood and India contract is contradictory. Meanwhile, the movie has already beaten a record of 2017’s blockbuster Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, 2.0 will be released on more than 6600 to 6800 screens. Thus, it has surpassed the record of Prabhas starrer which got 6500 screens.
People have high expectations from the film. The trailer received mixed response from the cinema lovers. 2.0 is the sequel to 2010 Tamil film Enthiran and is based on the ongoing war between man and machines. It marks Akshay’s Tamil debut. He has worked very hard to get into the skin of his character.
Directed by Shankar and bankrolled by Lyca Productions, 2.0 also features Amy Jackson in a pivotal role.
