The film is the successor of 2010 Tamil film Enthiran and is based on the ongoing war between man and machines. Rajinikanth returns as Chitti, the robot but the biggest pull is Akshay Kumar. The latest poster shows his character scientist Richard/The Crow staring with blazing eyes. However, look carefully and you’ll see that his face is fully covered with mobile phones. Raju Mahalingam, creative head of Lyca Productions, said, at the trailer launch, “The film has been shot in 3D and on a budget of Rs 400 crore. As of now, we have only 1,500 3D screens in India as opposed to over 10,000 in China. Yesterday only, Akshay Kumar shared a poster that gave a glimpse into Akshay Kumar’s ruthless character. The actor had also captioned his post as “A storm is coming! #2Point0 this 29th November in cinemas. Are you ready.”
The teaser and trailer of 2.0 have left us waiting for this visual extravaganza. The film marks Akshay’s Tamil debut who has undergone a massive transformation for the film by spending hours in the green room. Directed by Shankar and bankrolled by Lyca Productions, the film will hit the screens on November 29 this year.
