Aamir Khan made his singing debut with the song Aati Kya Khandala? from his 1998 film, Ghulam. And we know the impact that the number had on the entire nation then. The number that was picturised on Aamir and Rani Mukerji became an instant hit and is still considered as one of the most popular songs of Bollywood. I mean, you cannot not sing that song every time you cross Khandala. So we went kind of berserk when Aamir himself did an Aati Kya Khandala on stage at an event that was held in Mumbai today. And who better than his wife Kiran Rao to play Rani?

Yep! That is what happened. Aamir along with Kiran launched the trailer of his upcoming production venture, Secret Superstar just few hours back, and it is during this event, the superstar recreated his Ghulam avatar on stage, while Kiran matched up to him singing along. And to say it was cute would be an understatement. Check out the video right here and you know what we are trying to say: ALSO READAamir Khan Explains How Secret Superstar And Dangal Are Related

He also loved it and all of them decided to include the song at the last minute.  Not many know that the song was included in the film at the last minute. “We had completed the film but when I heard the song. I wanted it to be in the film. So we deleted a few scenes to accommodate the song. When I heard the song, I knew only Aamir could do justice to it. When I told him to sing, HE was like, ‘Are you mad!’ But we convinced him and the rest is history,” Bhatt was quoted by HT.

And just for the good ol’ days, here’s the original song:
