Aamir Khan is one actor who is well aware of his social responsibility. In his tryst to help those displaced in Bihar due to the floods, Khan has donated Rs 25 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for smoother relief operations. Hindustan Times reported that a cheque of Rs 25 lakh was sent by Dangal star through courier and was received at the office of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
This is not the first time that Aamir has contributed such a huge amount for the relief operations of a state. Previously, the actor has helped flood victims in Gujarat and Assam by donating the same amount. Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal took to Twitter to express his gratitude to Aamir Khan for his contribution.

This year not less than 1 crore 70 lakh people have been affected by the floods in Bihar. The number of those who died due to the natural calamity has risen to 415, with nearly 21 districts affected due to floods.The condition reportedly continues to worsen in Muzaffarpur, Samastipur and Darbhanga districts. Urban areas of Muzaffarpur have been deluged following the overflow of water in the Tirhut Canal In the Darbhanga district alone nearly 22 lakh people have been reportedly affected by the floods. The district’s power sub-station-Poria has been flooded with the electricity in many of its villages being affected adversely. The others who have donated money for the relief operations are BJP Rajya Sabha member C P Thakur who donated Rs 20 lakh, from his MPLAD fund for relief work in Sahebganj and Paru blocks of Muzaffarpur.
