‘One film at a time’, that is a mantra Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan has been following in his career since many years. As of now, he is deeply invested in YRF’s action thriller Thugs Of Hindostan and has even undergone transformation and upped his action skills as well. He also got a few piercings done on his nose and ears to look the part. But the film is all set for a wrap. The last leg of the shoot is taking place in Jodhpur, Rajasthan right now and the actor, who was in Mumbai to celebrate his 53rd birthday with his family, is slated to join the crew back in two days. But ask him about what next after Thugs and his answer will leave you a little disappointed. Also Read - Aamir Khan Trolled For Not Wearing Mask, Fans Say 'Lagta Hai Vaccine Le Li Hai'
Aamir joined Instagram today and also hosted a ‘live chat’ on the social media platform. When asked about plans for his next, Aamir said, “There is no film in the pipeline after Thugs. I have not read any script or started talks about any new project. This has been one of my most challenging role and therefore I just want to wait for the film to get completed and release in the theatres before getting on with a new film.” Also Read - Salman Khan to Become Prem of Maine Pyar Kiya For Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, Shooting on Jan 8
But in the meantime, will be focus on Satyamev Jayate and bring out a new season? To this Aamir said that there may still be some time till fans get to see a new season of his chat show. Revealing the reason behind the delay, he said, “The entire team of Satyamev Jayate has been busy for a big and important cause since the past three years. We are working to find solutions for those affected by the severe drought situation in and around Maharashtra.” The actor and his wife Kiran Rao founded a NPO – Paani Foundation and that has kept them and their team of Satyamev Jayate busy. Aanir also said that the foundation has been able to reach out and help around “116 villages in the first year, 1300 villages in its second and around 6000 villages in the third year.” We know that fans will be a little disheartened for they don’t have any clue about what Aamir has in store for them in his next after the Diwali release Thugs Of Hindostan, but we also know that they will be proud of his initiatives and can take heart in the fact that whenever he does return to the screen – big or small – it will be with a big bang.
