In a conversation on Unfiltered with Samdish, Imran opened up about Aamir and said, “I have known Aamir my whole life. I have a base level of faith and trust that the choices he makes and the things he chooses to attach his time and energy to are made in good faith and with honesty. His episode on female infanticide (in Satyamev Jayate) angered a lot of folks who issued death threats.”

Between 2012 and 2014, Aamir Khan hosted a talk show named Satyamev Jayate. The 25-episode show featured Aamir tackling a different social issue in every episode. The concept of the show was to invite survivors, activists, and celebrities to open up about their experience and shed light on the issue.
The show discussed various topics, including domestic violence, untouchability, discrimination, female foeticide, child sexual abuse, rape, honour killings, acceptance of alternative sexualities, toxic masculinity, and alcoholism.

Recently, Aamir was seen in the home production Sitaare Zameen Par. The film was a sequel to his hit film Taare Zameen Par. The actor makes a cameo in Vir Das’ directorial debut, Happy Patel, which also marks Imran’s acting comeback after a decade. The trio had previously worked together on Delhi Belly in 2012.
