Mumbai, Oct. 23: Singer Abhijeet who was booked for molesting a woman, denied all charges on Friday, saying they were false and baseless and asserted that he did not even know the woman.”Look at what happened in Abhishek Bachchan’s wedding, a girl barged in and falsely accused him. How could I have molested a woman when I was not even near her? I don’t even know if such a woman exists,” Abhijeet told the reporters here. (Read: Singer Abhijeet booked for misbehaving with woman)
The singer added that he had become a soft target for false charges because of his celebrity status and his ‘bold’ nature. A woman has accused the controversial singer of abusing and molesting her following which, an FIR was slapped against him under Section 354 A (Molestation) 506 & 34 of the IPC, late on Thursday night at the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai.
