Fans were devastated when their favourite TV show, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi (KRPKAB),  was taken off air. The daily that was bankrolled by Beyond Dreams Productions was launched in February 2016 and its lead characters, Dev and Sonakshi, essayed by Shaheer Sheikh and Erica Fernandes, instantly found a place in the hearts of many, thanks to their amazing chemistry and romance. It used to air at 9:30 pm but was axed to make way for Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati 9. Not only the fans but also the entire star cast of the show were left disappointed with this sudden development. However, yesterday, social media was abuzz with the show making its way back on Sony Entertainment Television, just within a few days of it going off air.

This is perhaps the first time that a show has been brought back due to popular demand. Actor Shaheer Shaikh took to Twitter to share the news. He wrote, “Your love and support for #krpkab have made it impossible for us to stay away from you. Your Dev will be back! @SonyTV.” Shahir wasn’t the only one who was ecstatic hearing the news. Moon Banerjee who played the role of Asha Bose aka Sonakshi’s mother, is equally excited for the comeback. When india.com got in touch with the actress she couldn’t stop gushing. “Everything is coming across to be extremely surreal to me. This is the first time, in the many years, I’ve spent in the TV industry when I’ve seen a TV show being taken off and then brought back within a short span of time. This is all because of the super awesome fans we have. KRPKAB was never just a regular show–it was always very special. Being a part of this show and achieving all this as a team feels superb,” she said.

The actress also revealed a few things about the show, which you all must definitely come to know about.

#Moon owes everything to the show’s fans. “They had been getting in touch with us on every media possible to let us know how disheartened they were to know that the show was stopped. They kept saying how they wouldn’t let us go. Some fans even went ahead and said they will ban the channel if they don’t get the show back. They made this comeback possible and that is just superb.

# The cast and crew will be more or less the same. As of now, she knows that she has been locked in for the show. On the creative front, however, they haven’t been informed whether or not they would be going ahead with the same story line or continuing it from where the show last ended.

# The star cast are expected to get to know about their shoot dates soon. “We should ideally get the date by tonight or tomorrow because the month has already started so at the latest, I think we start shooting from next week.
