Mumbai, Oct 22: Karan Johar’ movie Ae Dil Hai Muhkil (ADHM) will release peacefully on October 28 as scheduled earlier. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) which earlier threatened to not let the release of the movie said that they will not oppose ADHM’s release after Karan Johar and director-producer Mukesh Bhatt met MNS chief Raj Thackeray at Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s residence on Saturday. MNS said that they called off the protest against the movie. Following the meeting Bhatt said that the Producers Guild have decided not to work with Pakistani actors in the future.
Film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ ran into trouble, for featuring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in a cameo role. MNS said that they won’t allow release of any movie in India that features Pakistani artistes. The movie is due for release on October 28. Earlier this week, Mukesh Bhatt and Apoorva Mehta from Dharma Productions met Union home minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi to discuss the smooth release of the film. SIngh supported the movie and promised a great release for the movie. Thackeray will address media at 11: 30 am at his residence today.
Producers Sidharth Roy Kapur, Sajid Nadiadwala and Vijay Singh of Fox Star Studios were also present in the meeting. Bhatt saud, “We discussed the unfortunate events related to the film’s release. I shared the film industry’s emotions regarding the entire issue. We are Indians first and then comes our business.” Also, the Producers’ Guild will call a meeting to pass a resolution on not working with Pakistani artists. A copy of the same would be sent to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry as well as the Chief Minister, Bhatt added.

The movie made under the banner of Dharma Productions also features Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles.
