Bollywood actor Aftab Shivdasani, known for heartwarming and comedic films like Hungama, Masti, and Awara Paagal Deewana, is now doing very little work in films. Despite this, he owns property worth crores. Many actors have had more flops than hits in their careers, and Aftab is one of them. He has been working as a lead actor for the past 26 years and even appeared as a child actor in several films before that. Throughout his career, he has delivered more flops than hits. Currently, Aftab is working on the sequel to one of his earlier films.
According to Bollywood Hungama, Aftab Shivdasani has delivered 17 flop films in his career. The sequel he is currently working on belongs to a film whose previous part also failed at the box office. We are talking about the Masti franchise. Director Indra Kumar released the first film, Masti, in 2004, which featured Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, and Ajay Devgn alongside Aftab Shivdasani. The film was a box office hit. In 2013, the makers released the second instalment, Grand Masti, which was also well received and became a superhit. However, the third part, Great Grand Masti, released in 2016, flopped at the box office.
Great Grand Masti had an ensemble cast of Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, Shreyas Talpade, Urvashi Rautela, Shraddha Das, Mishti Chakraborty, Pooja Bose and Sanjay Mishra. The censor board made 23 deletions from the film including some dialogue deletions and a complete scene and gave the film an A certificate. The movie, made on a budget of Rs 50 crore, only earned Rs 19 crore.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, the makers have prepared to bring the fourth part of this franchise, which is going to be titled ‘Masti 4’. Aftab will be seen in this film once again. Along with him, Vivek and Ritesh will also be seen in this franchise once again.
This time, Indra Kumar is not directing the film, but Milap Milan Zaveri will take up this responsibility. Milap has previously directed films like ‘Satyamev Jayate’ and ‘Marjaavaan’. In the report, quoting the source, it was also told that the shooting of this film is going on at a fast pace and the makers want to release it in mid-2026.
Aftab Shivdasani shared some fun moments from the set on Instagram. His post included a picture of the Masti 4 clapboard, a group shot with Riteish and Milap Zaveri and a candid moment of the trio laughing together.
