What was supposed to be a celebratory moment turned into yet another disaster. Soon after, actor Nidhhi Agerwal was mobbed and manhandled at a music launch, another unsettling incident involving Samantha Ruth Prabhu. This incident took place recently when Samantha attended a public event in Hyderabad, where the overwhelming crowd made it difficult for her to even walk.
On Sunday, Samantha was seen stepping out for an event in Hyderabad, but later, what happened was no less than a nightmare. She found herself engulfed by hundreds of fans. Despite being accompanied by security, a massive crowd came towards her, making it difficult to manage the sheer size of the crowd.
Later, a video from the incident was widely circulated on Instagram and Reddit. Samantha was spotted wearing a silk saree as she made her way from the stage towards her car. The crowd appeared uncontrollable, forcing her to rely heavily on her security team to move ahead. However, despite the chaos, Samantha maintained her composure, smiling and staying calm as she navigated through the crowd.
As soon as the video went viral, netizens were quick to react. Many users are criticising the behaviour of the crowd and raising questions about fan boundaries, especially when it comes to female actors. One user commented, “Pathetic.” Another questioned, “Why fans don’t understand boundaries even after Rajasaab incident?”
Some users also pointed fingers at event organisers and celebrity management teams. A comment read, “Why is their management never prepared for these things when they know how common it is.” Another user highlighted how such incidents have occurred repeatedly over the years, writing, “Many incidents happened lives are lost to see celebs – Allu Arjun Hyderabad, Virat &RCB – Bangalore,Vijay rally – Tamil Nadu yet ppl’s mad obsessive worship for celebrities don’t change in South. They either harm themselves or the celeb in these events. Celeb devotion is on another level in the South.”
Besides this incident, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been making headlines for her personal reasons. She recently tied the knot with Raj Nidimoru on December 1 in the presence of close friends and family. Taking to Instagram, Samantha confirmed the wedding through a heartfelt social media post. Her post offered glimpses of their intimate ceremony. The couple got married in a Linga Bhairava Vivaha at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore.
Speaking of her work, Samantha is currently collaborating with Raj & DK on the upcoming series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom. The show also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jaideep Ahlawat. Currently in production, the series is expected to premiere in 2026.
