Ex CBFC Pahlaj Nihalani’s ouster from the Central Board of Film certification made everyone happy. The filmmakers were happy that they will be able to push their film with less cuts and the viewers became happy that they will finally get to watch the film as the makers planned it. Also, it was a relief for people that film fraternities like Prasoon Joshi and Vidya Balan came on board for the certification process. Now just when everyone thought that the filmmakers van live happily ever after, a new rule is already in, again causing worries for the producers and directors. As reported in Spotboye.com, a filmmaker told a daily, ” Earlier, we were at least told about the problematic scenes, if any, so we could take care of them. Now, we will be in the dark till the certificate is issued. This way, precious time will be lost. Sometimes we have just two-three days between CBFC viewing a film and its release. This new policy may cause delays.” Looks like Prasoon Joshi will have to face some negative remarks from the producers in first few days of his arrival itself!
