Telugu actor, producer, and entrepreneur Ram Charan joined Twitter on Thursday, a few days after his actor father Chiranjeevi made his appearance on social media. The actor donated a sum of Rs 70 lakh towards the central government and the state governments of Andra Pradesh and Telangana for the relief work they are undertaking to contain the COVID 19 situation. Taking to Instagram, Ram Charan wrote, “Hope this tweet finds you in good health. Ram Charan is inspired by Tollywood actor and Politician Pawan Kalyan who donated a sum of Rs 2 crore to Chief Minister and Prime Minister’s relief fund to fight against the novel coronavirus. In a series of tweets, Pawan Kalyan spoke about his monetary contribution to the state and central government. He admitted that he would donate a sum of Rs 50 lakh each to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana government to help fight the pandemic.

As Ram Charan shared about the same on social media, Pawan Kalyan replied, “My wholehearted gratitude to  Sri Ram Charan @AlwaysRamCharan for donating Rs. 70 lakhs to fight against Corona Pandemic.”

There are many South celebrities like Rajinikanth, Suriya, Nithiin, Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi who have donated a certain amount to the state welfare to support the daily.
