After Sanju, Ram Gopal Varma to Make a Film on Sanjay Dutt

Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju featuring actor Ranbir Kapoor has undoubtedly become the highest grossing movie of the actor’s career. Ever since the trailer of the film was released, there was a constant debate regarding its story. It was being said that Sanju is Hirani’s attempt to whitewash Sanjay Dutt’s image. All said and done, the movie has entered the Rs 300 cr club. Now, after this huge success, director Ram Gopal Varma has also confirmed to a leading daily that he will also be making a ‘real’ film on the actor.

It is yet to be known which actor will play the lead in the movie. Sanjay’s reaction on the same is still awaited. It will also be interesting to see if any other actor manages to beat Ranbir’s tough act.
Sanju focused on the actor’s life but it has nothing about his previous two wives and daughter. Many aspects of Sanjay’s life were missing from the movie. However, people lauded Ranbir for his acting.
RGV has worked with Sanjay in Daud and Department. Both the films failed miserably at the box office.
On a related note, Ranbir was praised for his spectacular performance in Sanju. Sanjay, on the other hand will next be seen in Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3. He is also set to feature in Prasthaanam.
