Vinesh Phogat has once again made the nation proud by scripting history as the first Indian female wrestler to qualify for an Olympic final.  While the entire country is praying for her momentous win, netizens have taken to social media, urging Aamir Khan and Nitesh Tiwari to make Dangal 2.

Dangal, helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, turned out to be a massive hit among audiences. The movie was made on a budget of Rs 70 crore and, in return, garnered Rs 2,024 crore worldwide. The film was based on the life of Mahavir Phogat and his daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat, who bagged a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games. Vinesh is the cousin of Geeta and Babita. Now, X (formerly known as Twitter) is flooded with fans requesting Dangal 2. Meanwhile, in a heartbreaking news, Vinesh has been disqualified from the Paris Olympics due to the weight. Phogat could not make the weight on the morning of her 50 kg gold medal bout.

Vinesh Phogat has definitely confirmed India’s fourth medal in the Paris Olympics 2024 and will surely take home the silver medal. Even with the silver win, several celebs from B-town, including Rajkummar Rao, Taapsee Pannu, Randeep Hooda, Riteish Deshmukh, and others, have extended congratulatory messages to her.

Coming back to Dangal, the movie had a star-studded cast, including Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim, and Sakshi Tanwar. The film also featured the late actor Suhani Bhatnagar, who unfortunately lost her life in February this year as she succumbed to dermatomyositis, a rare inflammatory disease.
