Ranbir Kapoor is touted as one of the biggest stars in Bollywood. With his exceptional acting skills and charming screen presence, he has become one of the most admired actors in India. The actor is currently working on Ramayana, which is expected to be Industry’s most expensive film. Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, the mythological drama will feature Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and KGF’s Yash as Ravana.
Just before coming on board for Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor turned vegetarian and quit smoking and drinking. In a throwback interview, the actor revealed the major lifestyle changes he has made ahead of his next much-awaited project.
While attending workshops and extensively prepping for the role is common for an actor, Ranbir said that he is practicing to adopt a healthy lifestyle for his daughter Raha and for himself.
A video shared on X shows Ranbir Kapoor saying, “Right now, the focus is just to spend time with my daughter. I have changed a lot of my lifestyle. I have quit smoking and drinking.” He also added that he has turned vegetarian and is “doing a lot of yoga and meditation.”
“I am really trying to clean up my life, entering my 40s and trying to be healthy for my kid, healthy for myself,” Ranbir said.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studio, Ramayana is being made on a staggering budget of Rs 4000 crore, and will be released in two parts. For the first time ever, Oscar-winning legends Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman will be collaborating to compose a powerful soundtrack. According to reports, the mythological drama will also feature Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. In a special appearance, Amitabh Bachchan will reportedly lend his extraordinary presence to the character of Jatayu.
The film will be released worldwide in two parts: first part in Diwali 2026 and second part in Diwali 2027.
