Choreographer-turned director Ahmed Khan was more than happy to direct the second installment of the Baaghi 2 franchise when producer Sajid Nadiadwala offered him the film. Khan worked on the script of the sequel to Nadiadwala’s 2016 action-thriller Baaghi for eight months and another few months on the action along with masters like Kaecha (from Thailand), brothers Ram-Lakshman from the South and Shamsher Khan (underground street fights guide). The latest reports suggest that the makers of the Baaghi franchise have already announced the third installment of the film starring Tiger Shroff and the film will be helmed by Ahmed Khan. However, the leading lady has not been revealed. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, during the editing, Nadiadwala saw the rushes and said that the film is ‘mindblowing’. In a statement to the daily, Khan said, “Sajid bhai asked me to wait for five days, then, suddenly called Tiger and me to his office and told us he was signing us for Baaghi 3. Khan further added, “I have started designing the action for Baaghi 3 but I haven’t decided on the script yet. Sajid bhai comes up with story ideas and asks us to take our pick. Helmed by Ahmed Khan, Baaghi 2 also stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda, Manoj Bajpayee and Prateik Babbar in significant roles. Recently, the makers of the romantic-actioner had released the video song, featuring Jacqueline Fernandez, who recreated Madhuri Dixit’s ‘Ek do teen’ from 1998 film Tezaab for ‘Baaghi 2. But, Jacqueline’s rather sleazy dance moves got flak to completely ruin the original cult song. However, Salman Khan came for the rescue and appreciated the new song.
