Salman Khan and Aishhwarya Rai Bachchan‘s fans have been waiting for their favourite stars to let bygones be bygones and share screen space with one another. While that may never happen, courtesy their history together, the two are gearing up to battle it out at the Box Office next Eid, with their films Race 3 and Fanne Khan releasing on the same date. It was earlier reported that the Salman-Aishwarya Box Office clash was decided by producer Prernaa Arora and actor Anil Kapoor.
However, sources reveal that Aishwarya too was consulted about the same, and it was with her consent that the makers decided to go ahead with the release date. On the other hand, it is a known fact that Salman bhai will always lock in the Eid date for his film. The ex-flames taking on each other at the box office will definitely play a catalyst in bringing more and more audiences to watch the films.
Prerna Arora in an interview with a leading news agency confirmed the news and said, ” Of course. Aishwarya is the lead actress; she was in the know when we wanted to release the film. The date has been finalised with her consent.” Incidentally, Aishwarya is doing an additional film with the producer, which will be helmed by Siddharth Anand. The buzz doing the rounds is that the film will be a take off on Satyen Bose’s film Raat Aur Din. The 1967 film had Nargis Dutt play the role of a person with a multiple personality disorder, which also won her the National Award. She starred opposite Pradeep Kumar and Feroz Khan in the movie. We wonder who will essay the role of the two male actors.
