It’s been a while since we have seen Abhishek Bachchan on screen. The actor is all set to make his comeback on screen after two years with Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyan that will also star Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in the lead. Meanwhile, reports seem to suggest that Jr Bachchan is also in talks with Margarita with a Straw fame filmmaker Shonali Bose for her next film. The film may reportedly star Abhishek Bachchan opposite his Bluffmaster co-star Priyanka Chopra. The film is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 13 and who later became a motivational speaker. She authored a book titled, ‘My Little Epiphanises’. Aisha later passed away at the age of 18 three years ago.
Reports seem to suggest that Secret Superstar actress Zaira Wasim is being considered for the role of Aisha whereas Priyanka Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan may essay the role of her parents. Mumbai Mirror has however, quoted a source as saying that the filmmaker had a meeting with Abhishek on the sets of Manmarziyan and had shared the idea with him. According to a report by Zoom TV, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is against the idea of Abhishek playing this role. She feels that he should take up a character like the one he had in Manmarziyan where he can do more.
Reports suggest that Abhishek will be meeting Shonali soon for a narration. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Aishwarya will be seen in Fanne Khan that will have her star with Anil Kapoor after nearly 17 years. The film also features Rajkummar Rao.
