Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father Krishnaraj Rai admitted in ICU at Lilavati Hospital

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father Krishnaraj Rai has been in hospital for nearly two weeks.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father Krishnaraj Rai has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. As per the actress’ publicist, Mr. Rai was taken to the hospital last night. Aishwarya and her husband Abhishek Bachchan were spotted at the hospital. Pictures of the duo at Lilavati Hospital have been doing rounds of social media. As per reports, Krishnaraj Rai has not been keeping well since quite a long time and was hospitalised two weeks ago.

As per latest development, Mr. Rai has now been shifted to the ICU. He was supposed to return home after two weeks stay at the hospital but after his health condition didn’t seem fine, he has been shifted to the ICU. Apparently Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father had cancer in the past and is now likely to have had a recurrence, sources revealed to indianexpress.com.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s spokesperson told BollywoodLife, “Yes he (Krishnaraj Rai) has been in hospital for the nearly two weeks. Aishwarya is taking care of him despite her being alone as Abhishek was in New York for work. He just got back. Recently at Aaradhya’s sports day, Aishwarya was seen cheering for the kids and her own daughter too. On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are going to come back together onscreen in the project titled ‘Gulab Jamun’. The upcoming film is said to be produced by Anurag Kashyap’s Phantom Films. However, we wait for official confirmation from the makers of the film.
