Now, actor Akshay Kumar has come forward to donate Rs 25 crore, the largest amount by any Indian celebrity so far to help fight coronavirus and help people in need. Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “This is that time when all that matters is the lives of our people. And we need to do anything and everything it takes. I pledge to contribute Rs 25 crores from my savings to @narendramodi ji’s PM-CARES Fund. Earlier, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan donated Rs 20 lakh and comedian Kapil Sharma donated Rs 50 lakh. Popular Baahubali actor Prabhas donated Rs 4 crore Even Telugu actors Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu also donated for the cause. Tollywood stsr Allu Arjun announced the donation of Rs 1.25 crore for the welfare of the people in states of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Telngana.
