Actor Akshay Kumar is gearing up for his new film – Sooryvanshi, which is also one of the most anticipated films of the year. The actor plays an ATS officer in the film who is responsible for saving the country from a terrorist attack. The trailer of the film that was released recently showed many scenes in which the characters talked about religious differences and considering the communal unrest in the country, Sooryavanshi seems quite apt for the current times. However, Akshay calls it just a coincidence. In his latest interview with news agency PTI, the actor talked about Sooryavanshi’s relevance in the current times and how he doesn’t identify himself as associated with any one religion. The actor said that the Rohit Shetty directorial was not made keeping in mind the current times in the country but he won’t deny that the film stands absolutely relevant today. “It is a coincidence, we haven’t made it deliberately (now). But, yes, it is very much a relevant film today,” he said. Akshay added that neither he himself nor his film endorses identification on the basis of religion. “I don’t believe in any religion,” said Akshay, adding, that he only believes in ‘being Indian’. The actor went on to say that they don’t look at their film talking about ‘being a Parsi, a Hindu or a Muslim.’ Also Read - 'Chak de Fatte': Akshay Kumar Roots For Birthday Girl Harmanpreet Kaur And Team During T20 World Cup Final
