In the ever-evolving world of Bollywood, many performers create noise; however, some rare sequences remain etched in the hearts of the audience and become a career-defining moment for the actor. One such situation recently happened with Akshaye Khanna. With his intense, brooding portrayal of Rehman Dakait in Dhurandhar, the actor has sparked an online frenzy. Besides being liked by critics, he has been dominating social media with his memes, reels, edits, and reactions. The audience is celebrating his comeback in a character that they simply cannot stop talking about. But besides fans and viewers, filmmaker Farah Khan has also come forward and spoken about Akshaye Khanna’s impeccable performance in Dhurandhar.
After winning the hearts of the audience in Chhaava, Akshaye Khanna has once again left the audience stunned with his portrayal of fierce and unpredictable Rehman Dakait. Social media has exploded with clips of his scenes from the film, but since Akshaye maintains a low-key profile on social media, fans wondered if Akshaye Khanna even knows he is going viral.
A meme page recently posted a clip featuring Akshaye’s rugged look from the film, with the text:
“Does Akshaye Khanna know he’s getting all this attention?”
But what truly caught the internet’s eye was Farah Khan’s comment. The director cheekily revealed, “I’m sending him the TMK memes.” Within minutes, her reply was widely shared across Reddit and Instagram, with users calling her a hero for keeping him updated. Comments ranged from “Farah Khan is a vibe” to “Farah is an angel”, and another fan wrote, “Thank you, Farah, for doing such noble work.” One even asked her to make a cooking vlog with Akshaye.
Besides keeping Akshaye updated with his fan base love, she also shared a reel on Instagram featuring scenes of Akshaye in Dhurandhar and a moment from Tees Maar Khan, where Akshay Kumar says,
“Woh raha mera superstar, mera Oscar,” referring to Khanna in the film.
Her caption further read,
“Akshaye Khanna truly deserves an Oscar (clapping hand emojis).”
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead, alongside Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun. As per reports, the movie has earned Rs. 121.25 crore so far and continues to perform strongly at the box office.
