QThat actor Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha are dating is now a known fact. The two are attending the Oscars this year, that’s slated to take place on Sunday, but early morning on Monday, according To Indian Standard Time (IST). The couple reportedly attended the pre-Oscar WME party, which Ali announced, earlier today through a pic with his lady love. He shared the image on Instagram and wrote, “Okay, I swear I didn’t plan this photo… haha. But Jack Dawson aka Leo seems to have photobombed this selfie. Spot if you can, but besides the little crowd, it was an honour to be present at the WME Party last night (Saturday) with greats in the room.”
Furthermore, he quipped that he stared back at Drake who happened to be looking at Richa. He wrote, “Congratulated Mr Adrian Brody on his wonderful performance in ‘Peaky Blinders’, stared back at Drake because ‘arey woh Richa ko taak raha tha toh maine bhi ghoora (he was staring at Richa so, even I stared back). He also gave the reason for being “phaila hua” (spread out) because of it being “home territory”. “My agency throwing the pre-Oscar party last night. I think all the hip-hop crowd was there for sure. Wait, Pharrell was missing. He got to play Holi elsewhere,” he added.
As far as attending the Oscars along with Richa was concerned, the Victoria and Abdul actor had refuted all the rumours stating that he won’t be attending the event in person and that he would be rooting for his film nonetheless. However, later on reports stated that the actor would be attending the celebrated awards’ function with his “Lady luck.” Victoria and Abdul has been nominated under two categories — Best Costume Design and Make-up and Hairstyling. The film that’s been helmed by Stephen Frears, stars Judi Dench as the Queen. Abdul, on the other hand, is played by Ali. The film is based on the novel written by Indian author, Shrabani Basu, which chronicles the life of Abdul on how he became one of the most powerful figures in the court.
