Having double reasons to celebrate, Brahmastra star Alia Bhatt rang in Holi with the celebrations of her movie, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, clocking three years. Unable to contain her excitement, the diva shared the news with fans on her social media handle. Taking to her Instagram handle’s story feature, Alia shared a clip from the song of Badri Ki Dulhania featuring her playing Holi with co-star Varun Dhawan. Badrinath Ki Dulhania’s title track was Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s first Holi number. The track was composed by Tanishq Bagchi while Shabbir Ahmed penned its lyrics. Ace dance master, Ganesh Acharya, choreographed the title track which was shot in a custom-made set, built exclusively for this purpose. The movie was Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s third film together and was the second installment of a franchise that began with the 2014 film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions, it revolved around the love story between Badrinath Bansal (Varun) and Vaidehi Trivedi (Alia).



The audience gave dicey reviews as on the one hand the lead actors’ performances were appreciated but the plot and theme entirely did not get a definite thumbs up. Nevertheless, the footfalls in the theatres proved that Varun and Alia have turned into the bankable stars who can pull their fans irrespective of not-so-favourable reviews.
