Alia Bhatt deserves national award for Udta Punjab, says Kareena Kapoor Khan

New Delhi, June 29: Both Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor feel that Alia Bhatt truly deserves a national award for her brilliant performance in drug -themed film ‘Udta Punjab’.

In a recent interview given to entertainment news channel Zoom, Kareena, 35 said she agrees with Shahid’s statement that Alia deserved a national award. The actress said, “I agree with that. However, we give a lot of importance to awards. Alia should take appreciation and acceptance from the audience as her biggest award.” (ALSO READ: Udta Punjab now to become case study in business schools)

The 23-year-old actress has essayed the role of a Bihari migrant in the film. Abhishek Chaubey’s directorial, which become the fifth highest opening in terms of earnings after ‘Fan,’ Housefull 3′, ‘Airlift,’ and ‘Baaghi’, is performing outstandingly at the box office.
