Ranbir and Alia fell head over heels in love with each other amidst the wilderness and ice-capped mountains. It was all dreamy. Even though the entire team was present with the two actors, they seemed to have had built their own secluded space in which they used to spend more and more time with each other. This was the time when the speculations about their increasing proximity began in the media. Alia posted a few pictures of Ranbir on Instagram and even when she posted her own pictures, she beautifully informed in the captions that the photographer behind those clicks was none other than the man himself.

While Alia’s side of the family seemed to have given its approval, it was the turn of Ranbir’s folks to give a nod to their relationship. It was believed that while Ranbir’s father, Rishi Kapoor is quite an easy man to impress, his mother Neetu Kapoor had a history of not gelling well with any of his girlfriends including Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. However, it was surprising to see how Neetu welcomed Alia into the family and everything seemed smooth and merry.

In between all this, Ranbir’s father got diagnosed with cancer and flew to the US for his immediate treatment. The trying times began for the family and Alia stood with Ranbir like his rock-solid support. She made regular visits to his ailing father in New York and even spent New Year with the Kapoor family – Ranbir’s parents, his sister Ridhima Kapoor Sahani’s family and a few other close relatives were present. Neetu herself posted happy photos of Alia posing with the members of the Kapoor family. That was just another proof of how Alia and Ranbir were deeply honest about their feelings for each other and were seeing their future together.

After Ranbir’s cousin, Armaan Jain got married last month in a grand wedding ceremony, various reports suggested that the Kapoor family is now thinking of another grand wedding. The couple might not have accepted their relationship officially yet but there seems no need to do it now. Their chemistry, appearances at family gatherings and body language when they are together are enough to prove just how much they feel for each other. Rumours are now rife that the duo is going to get married by the end of this year around the release of their film in December.
