Ranbir Kapoor - Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra takes off in Sofia, Bulgaria!

The news all Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor fans had been waiting for is finally here. The two stars, who are all set to pair up opposite each other for the very first time in Brahmastra, have reached Sofia, the scenic, snow-clad capital of Bulgaria for the first schedule of the Ayan Mukerji’s film. Mouni Roy, who is said to play a negative role in the film has also joined the team. While Ranbir had left for Sofia earlier this month (wee hours of Feb 5), Alia and Mouni left last night.

And now, we have exclusive details of the first schedule of the first part of a much-anticipated trilogy. India.com has exclusively learnt that while the crew has already reached Bulgaria, the shooting doesn’t start right away. A source close to Ranbir revealed, “A lot of preparation needs to be done. While Ranbir is busy prepping with his trainers, Alia and Mouni will attend reading sessions. The set is being erected as well right now and the shoot will start from 22nd February onwards.”

The source further shared that this is an important schedule and one that will go on for over a month. “Ranbir is slated to return on March 24th. But the schedule might get cut short depending on the weather conditions and might get extended as well basis how much gets done in the one month since it kick starts. Some major portions will be canned during this period,” said the source. The film is slated for a August 15, 2019 release date and the post production will take a lot of time and hence the makers want to get done with the major part of the shooting by the end of this year.
