The actor, who will be seen in Dear Zindagi starring Shah Rukh Khan, Ali Zafar, Kunal Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Angad Bedi, has proved that she is here to stay and enthrall the audience with one superhit performance after the other. She has been very wise when it comes to choosing her films and has ensured that no two roles that she does are the same. Be it her first Student of The Year, Highway, Two States or Kapoor & Sons… Alia has successfully proven her versatility as an actor.

In her latest release directed by Gauri Shinde, even though she shares screen space with superstar Shah Rukh, she holds her own and you cannot ignore her strong screen presence. In fact, despite King Khan declaring in his own words that his role in Dear Zindagi is nothing more than an extended cameo, it hasn’t dampened any excitement that the fans have been harboring regarding the movie the past few months. She has been also been very proactive in promoting her film the past few weeks all over the country, giving interviews and sound bytes and appearing on shows like Koffee with Karan and The Kapil Sharma Show.

As per a report on PTI, Alia Bhatt is loving every bit of being in the film business and she is keeping herself away from analyzing too much and enjoying just going with the flow. “I am happy with the opportunities I have got and happy with the place I am in. I am celebrating the whole process,” she was quoted as saying. Alia also has her agenda clear. She knows what she wants to do and what she will never ever attempt. While Alia enjoyed portraying the character of a film photographer in the movie Dear Zindagi, she says her onscreen role will never take shape off screen. She is convinced that she can never direct a project. She was quoted as saying, “I can never direct. I doubt if I have an ability to direct. May be I can produce some day. But the direction is not my cup of tea.”

Now that does come as a surprise from someone who has a celebrated director Mahesh Bhatt for a father and a super talented Pooja Bhatt for an elder sister, both mentoring her. But it is great to know that at such a young age, when she has just recently started out, Alia Bhatt already knows what she wants from her professional life.
