Kapil Sharma’s comedy sequel Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is getting a second chance at the big screen. The makers have announced a re-release in January 2026, aiming to bring the film back to audiences who missed it during its initial run. Producer Ratan Jani confirmed the news in a recent statement, emphasizing that the re-release is intended to satisfy fans eager to relive the fun of the franchise.
The film was originally released on December 12, 2025, but struggled to secure enough screens in theatres. Its box office run was overshadowed by Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna’s Dhurandhar, which released a week earlier and dominated multiplexes across India. Many viewers were unable to watch the comedy, prompting the makers to plan a second release.
In a statement, the production team explained, “Ongoing multiplex takeovers affected the film’s reach. Even with limited screens, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 managed to make audiences laugh and relive the charm of the franchise. Keeping the excitement of fans in mind, producer Ratan Jain has decided to re-release the film in January 2026.”
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 continues the story of Kapil Sharma’s character, Kumar Shiv Ram Kishan, who navigates the hilarious chaos of being married to four women. The sequel brings back the signature comedic premise that made the original film a hit in 2015.
The film stars Kapil Sharma alongside Tridha Choudhury, Manjot Singh, Warina Hussain, Ayesha Khan, and Parul Gulati, with their performances contributing to the franchise’s unique humor. Fans can expect more laughter, funny situations, and quirky interactions as the story unfolds once again.
A specific date for the re-release has not yet been announced, but the makers are optimistic. With fewer competing films expected at the box office in January, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is poised to enjoy a more favorable theatrical run and reach a wider audience this time around. The re-release is seen as a chance for fans to experience Kapil Sharma’s comedy on the big screen without missing out.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar continues to dominate the box office, now surpassing Rs 1,000 crore worldwide. The Ranveer Singh-led film features a powerful ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun, making it one of the biggest Indian films of the year.
