After Shoojit Sircar‘s 2017 courtroom drama ‘Pink‘, Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu are reuniting for Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming murder mystery. In a statement to Mumbai Mirror, a source close to the development, informed that Big B and Taapsee are heading to London and Scotland in June to kick off Sujoy Ghosh’s next. “It is a month-long schedule and they will be filming in London and Scotland. The film is a murder mystery which revolves around the duo and Taapsee’s love interest who is a businessman. Bankrolled by Sunir Kheterpal, the film is tentatively titled ‘Badla’. The film is a remake of Oriol Paulo’s Spanish film, Contratiempo/The Invisible Guest. Well, speaking about Sujoy’s adaptation, a source had told a website, “It is not a film that we are remaking, it is the script that we are remaking. There is a bit difference (between the two). Sujoy Ghosh and Big B have previously worked together on the 2009 fantasy film, Aladin. The actor also voiced the Rabrindra Sangeet song ‘Ekla Cholo Re’ in Sujoy’s mystery thriller film, Kahaani. Additionally, Ghosh also produced Bachchan’s 2016 film, Te3n, which also starred Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Earlier talking about roping in Big B for his next, Ghosh had told the news agency, “I want to work with one and only Mr Bachchan. He is such a great actor. On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan, who last featured in 102 Not Out with Rishi Kapoor which is an unconventional story about a father and son bonding, will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. One of the year’s most anticipated films, Thugs of Hindostan, will also see the actor share screen space with Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif.
Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu, who was last seen opposite Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez in ‘Judwaa 2’ has her kitty full with films like ‘Dil Juunglee’, ‘Soorma’, ‘Mulk’ and ‘Manmarziyaan’. Reportedly, the actress has started shooting for Anubhav Sinha’s new directorial venture ‘Mulk’, which also features Rishi Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, Neena Gupta and Prateik Babbar in pivotal roles.
