In a 2011 interview with Rediff, the actor mentioned that he would divide his property equally between his daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, and his son, Abhishek Bachchan. He emphasized that he has no intention of differentiating between his son and daughter. Amitabh shared that while society often sees daughters as ‘paraya dhan,’ belonging to their husband’s family, he firmly believes that his daughter, Shweta, holds the same rights as his son, Abhishek.
Reflecting this belief, Amitabh Bachchan gifted his bungalow to his daughter, Shweta. According to media reports, the property is worth approximately Rs 50 crores. The megastar also discussed the kind of relationship he shares with his son. He revealed that even before Abhishek was born, he had promised himself that if he had a son, he would treat him as a friend. He mentioned that the moment Abhishek started wearing his shoes, that friendship was cemented. Although Amitabh continues to provide the care, concern, and guidance of a father, their interactions are more like those between close friends.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan’s personal life has become a topic of discussion. Several speculations are circulating online, claiming that Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai might have parted ways or are heading for a divorce. Recent incidents have fueled these rumours. A few months ago, during Anant Ambani’s wedding to Radhika Merchant, the entire Bachchan family was seen together, except for Aishwarya and Aaradhya. The mother-daughter duo arrived separately at the event, which has led fans to speculate that there may be turmoil in their relationship.
