Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is quite active on social media and the 77-year-old actor time and again delights everyone by sharing wonderful pictures from his photo archives. A day after terming Ranbir Kapoor as one of his ‘favourites’, megastar Amitabh Bachchan has shared throwback Thursday picture (then and now) with his Brahmastra co-star. Mr Bachchan’s post features himself with Shashi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor with a recent picture with the Ranbir from the sets of Brahmastra. The cine icon delighted us with a collage of smaller version of Ranbir from the sets of the 1991 film Ajooba with granduncle Shashi. Amitabh compares how Ranbir Kapoor has changed in the past 30 years from the time of Ajooba to now when they are doing Brahmastra together, adding that his wide eyes remain the same. “THEN and NOW .. RANBIR’S big curious eyes from AJOOBA’s sets with me and Shashi ji, and now brazen strong RANBIR, on the sets of ‘Brahmastra’!! 1990 to 2020.. The time has its own dimensions,” Bachchan captioned. A day ago, Big B was gushing over Ranbir Kapoor and asserted that his “favourite” keeps him on his toes. Amitabh shared a picture collage with four stills from the sets where he can be seen chilling with Ranbir while waiting for their shot to get ready. The collage was captioned, “… at work with one of my favourites, RANBIR .. … I need 4 to keep up with his enormous talent (sic).”

Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra is slated to hit the cinema screens on December 8, 2020. In the film, Ranbir essays the role of Shiva while Alia Bhatt plays his love interest, Isha. Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Ranbir’s guru and Mouni Roy is essaying the role of an antagonist. The film also features Dimple Kapadia and Akkineni Nagarjuna in important roles. Brahmastra is a trilogy produced by Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions.

Initially, the film was supposed to release in Christmas 2019 but got delayed due to VFX work and it was pushed for the Summer 2020 release.
