Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, one of Bollywood’s most popular couples, have been married for nearly 18 years now. The pair got engaged in January 2007, followed by a lavish wedding at the Bachchan mansion in April of the same year. In November 2011, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan welcomed Aaradhya Bachchan, their first and only child.
Aishwarya was 38 years old when she gave birth to her daughter, and her father-in-law, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, was the one who praised her for her strength during the delivery. At the time, Amitabh Bachchan showed his respect for his daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai and disclosed how she went through labor for ‘2-3 hours’ without receiving an epidural to have a normal birth.
Soon after his granddaughter Aaradhya was born, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan emerged from their home in Jalsa to tell the media about the happy news. At the time, Amitabh Bachchan had also commented on who the baby looked more like. He said, “I think she looks like Aishwarya. However, as everyone knows, children’s faces change daily. I still believe she resembles Aishwarya. Some members of the family believe she resembles Jaya or Abhishek slightly.”
Amitabh Bachchan went on to laud Aishwarya Rai for her strength after childbirth. The actor said, “She had to suffer, but I admire her for being in intense labour for over 2-3 hours. But she insisted and stated that she preferred a conventional delivery. “She didn’t use any epidurals or painkillers.”
Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty has spoken up about his daughter Athiya Shetty’s transition into motherhood. Suniel stated in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha that Athiya and Indian cricketer KL Rahul just welcomed their first child, a baby girl. He stated that Athiya had a regular birth and that, while “C-section is comfortable,” she was determined to pursue the natural route.
Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty’s comments about C-sections didn’t go over well with everyone. He stated, “In a world where everyone desires the convenience of having a cesarean baby, she chose not to do so and had a natural birth. I recall every nurse and pediatrician in the hospital saying it was incredible how she went through the entire process.”
