Leading tabloid Mumbai Mirror had it coming when they posted a story on Amitabh Bachchan without authenticating it first. Mr. Bachchan who is one respectable figure with huge following of 22 million on micro-blogging website Twitter, slammed Mumbai Mirror out in public for manipulating the news and publishing misleading pictures of the Pink actor. The said tabloid published picture of the 73-year-old actor along with the caption, “STRAY PLEA : A fan’s request to Amitabh Bachchan for a selfie at a studio in Mumbai did not yield any positive result.” The actor seemed really displeased, so much so that he posted the picture from the paper and along with it shared the selfie with the fan, apparently which was taken by the mentioned fan in the Mumbai Mirror story only. While a man of a stature as Amitabh Bachchan, could have ignored the news and went on with life paying no heeds to a tabloid story, but it seems this time Bachchan felt it was necessary. Fans of the actor asked him tweeting, why a personality as great as him is giving an explanation. To that he replied, “Because I want to”, and “Sometimes you must”.
