Painting the festival of colours with subtle hues of nostalgia, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan gave fans a glimpse of his yesteryear celebrations of Holi at RK Studios with Raj Kapoor-Shammi Kapoor, Jeetendra, Shatrughan Sinha. The star was even seen having a blast from the past with wife Jaya Bachchan and then toddler Abhishek Bachchan at Prateeksha. Taking to his Instagram handle, Amitabh shared picture collages in monochrome and sepia featuring him celebrating Holi during his initial days in Bollywood. The pictures were captioned, “The days of past Holi’s.. with Abhishek and Jaya at Prateeksha , with Raj ji Shammi ji, Jeetendra, Shatrughan, at RK Studios .. the best Holi .. On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan is gearing up for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra which is slated to hit the cinema screens on December 8, 2020. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor essays the role of Shiva while Alia Bhatt plays his love interest, Isha. Amitabh plays the role of Ranbir’s guru and Mouni Roy will be essaying the role of an antagonist. The film also features Dimple Kapadia and Akkineni Nagarjuna in important roles. Brahmastra is a trilogy produced by Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions.

Initially, the film was supposed to release in Christmas 2019 but got delayed due to VFX work and it was pushed for the Summer 2020 release. Another update came about the film being further delayed to Winter 2020 which has been confirmed now. The crew was spotted shooting for the climax of the film in Manali and Himachal Pradesh in December 2019. Later, the team moved to Varanasi for a song shoot.
