Since then, the actress is in the news for all right reasons. Recently, we heard that the actress had a complete makeover and it seems as if the actress has shed her saree-clad daughter-in-law image and was spotted in an item song in a Bollywood film. Yes, you read that right, the gorgeous diva Shilpa was seen shaking a leg with Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor and actor-comedian Vir Das in the upcoming film titled ‘Patel Ki Panjabbi Shaadi’.

According to the latest buzz we heard that it was a celebratory song and appears during an engagement scene in the film. But the picture from the sets is dong the rounds over the social media and people are going gaga over the picture.

We heard that actor Rishi Kapoor will play a Punjabi man, while actor Paresh Rawal will play a Gujarati man in the movie. The movie is directed by Sanjay Chhel. Shilpa seems to be quite happy and excitement about her Bollywood debut and feels honoured to work with brilliant actors. While talking to Mumbai Mirror, the director Sanjay Chhel was quoted saying, “The film is a cross-cultural comedy with Rishi playing a boisterous Punjabi and Paresh, a traditional Gujarati. They share a Tom and Jerry kind of a relationship peppered with personality clashes. The special number is set during an engagement ceremony.”

He further added, “Shilpa fits the bill. She is a male fantasy and also popular among the family audience, a great combo of sex appeal and a sanskari image.” She revealed, “It was the film’s last schedule and I didn’t want to lose out on the song. Rishi Kapoor had heard about me leaving the show and pointed out that I should not have got off a chalti gaadi, we are artistes. I told him, aag lagi aur mujhe koodna pada. Even Pareshji admitted that his wife (Swaroop Sampat) used to watch my show.”
