Delhi: Actor Ankita Lokhande has always been one of the biggest supporters of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his family which is looking for a closure after CBI’s investigation in the case. The actor, who was recently seen alongside Randeep Hooda in ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar’ took a moment to talk about what the late actor’s family is going through right now. In ‘The Weekend Show‘, Ankita and her filmmaker friend Sandeep S Singh, asked the fans and all those demanding justice for SSR, to have faith in the government and the CBI. The two requested everyone to let their ‘jolly friend’ rest in peace now.

A few days back, Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti tagged PM Narendra Modi on her social media account and requested him to intervene in the CBI investigation and fasten the process of closure. Commenting on the delay in the investigation and how long will it take to get the closure, SSR’s friend Sandeep S Singh said, “Jis jis ko bhi fayda uthana tha unhone utha liya. Sabko following mil chuki hai. Sabko TRP mil chuki hai. Uski aatma ko shanti do. Vo bahot jolly ladka tha. Bahot khushmizaz ladka tha. Government Hindustan ki bahot badi hai. Bahot powerful hai. Unko thoda judiciary par vishwas rakhna chahye. CBI ne apna kaam kiya, Mumbai police ne bhi apna kaam kiya. Conclusion jo jab dena hai, vo dege apne hisaab se. Hum janta hai, hum wait karege sahi samay ka. Rajeev Gandhi ke bhi mujrim ko bhi faasi mili thi. Godse ko bhi faasi mili thi. Justice milega [Everyone who wanted to benefit from it, has gotten what they wanted. Sushant was a jolly man. He was a happy person. Let him rest in peace now. The government of India is very powerful. They should have faith in the judiciary. CBI has done its job. Mumbai Police has done its job. They will give the closure accordingly. We have to wait for the right time. Even the murderers of Rajeev Gandhi got the punishment. Godse was given capital punishment. We will also get the justice].”

Ankita, who continues to be close to Sushant’s family, added that she has faith in the authorities too. The actor who is now married to businessman Vicky Jain, talked about the late actor’s sister and how the entire family is dealing with so much pain. She said, “I think family, Shweta di ki baat karti hun, everybody in the family is going through a lot because un sab se connected hun aaj bhi. I know they are going through pain and it’s not easy ki vo chala jaye. Toh definitely vo log demand karege. I am very sure ki justice milega [Shweta di and the entire family is going through a lot. I am still connected to them. I know they are going through pain and it’s not easy for them to let go. They will definitely demand the closure. I am sure that he will get justice soon].”

Sushant died on June 14, 2020, at his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. The actor’s death shocked the industry and his family demanded the CBI inquiry in the case. It’s been four years and the authorities have not provided any closure in the case. Sushant’s family members, friends and fans continue to demand justice for him.
