In a surprising turn of events, Television actor Sudhanshu Pandey announced his departure from the hit show Anupamaa on August 29. Known for playing Vanraj Shah, the ex-husband of Rupali Ganguly‘s character, Anupama, Vanraj quickly became a fan favourite. However, he didn’t share any reasons behind his sudden decision to exit the show, leaving fans and media guessing. Some rumours swirling around suggest a potential clash with the show’s producer Rajan Shahi.
Sudhanshu Pandey made headlines after he decided to quit the daily soap. However, eagle-eyed netizens noted that he had stopped following Rajan Shahi on Instagram. Although, he’s still connected with Shahi’s production house, Directors Kut Production. Adding another twist to the tale, Rajan Shahi too doesn’t follow Sudhanshu on Instagram. His Instagram circle is quite compact, with just 21 people including Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna. The mystery of whether Shahi ever followed Sudhanshu remains unsolved.
In 2022, speculations around the entertainment industry hinted the relationship between Sudhanshu Pandey and Rupali Ganguly were not in good terms. It was widely gossiped that the two television stars weren’t really talking to each other. However, Sudhanshu brushed off these rumours, setting the record straight in an interview with News18 Showsha.
Talking to the media portal Vanraj stated, “My reaction is, ‘Why don’t you come to the sets and watch?’ Simple as that. You’ll know what happens on the sets. It’s absolute fun all the time. We are always running around, poking fun at each other, cracking jokes. It’s a very childlike atmosphere on the sets. We are always having fun nonstop. When you read something about rifts and fights, it’s good for entertainment. They say they have heard a rumour, I say when you hear a rumour, that will be a rumour because it’s only a rumour. A rumour is an answer to your question itself.”
Anupamaa is a popular and cherished TV show which has continuously reigned at the apex of TRP rankings for quite some time now. It features an ensemble cast with Gaurav Khanna stealing the show as Anuj Kapadia, Alpana Buch effortlessly playing the role of Baa, and a spirited Nidhi Shah as Kinjal, along with other skilled actors. Paras Kalnawat and Aashish Mehrotra were key members of the series until they decided to take their leave.
