Anurag Kashyap is one of the finest filmmakers that Bollywood has to offer. He is known for his hard hitting reality films that leave the audiences with a very strong message and an experience to cherish for a life time. We are still reeling from his films like Dev D, No Smoking, Gangs Of Wasseypur 1 and 2, Gulaal, Black Friday and most recently, Mukkabaaz. The filmmaker has an eye for talent, launching the likes of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, Vineet Kumar Singh , Zoya Hussain and Kalki Koechlin among others. However, his dream is to work with Shah Rukh Khan before he retires. Also Read - Saroj Khan Death: Kajol And Shah Rukh Khan Pay Tribute to ‘Coolest Choreographer’ And ‘Genuine Teacher’

Despite being intrinsically different in their cinematic tastes, the talented filmmaker wants to work with him. In fact, word has it that SRK was once keen on working with Kashyap in No Smoking, but somehow things didn’t work out and the movie then went to John Abraham instead, who played the lead role in it.  However, he maintains that if he ever makes a big film in his life, it will be with Shah Rukh Khan. “My equation with Shah Rukh is very different. I really like and respect him a lot. I even like Ranbir Kapoor a lot and made Bombay Velvet with him, which bombed miserably. To be honest, I am scared ever since. Mujhe bada darr lagta hai ab. Shah Rukh Khan ke saath film banani hai but uske pehle himmat ani chahiye. (I want to make a film with Shah Rukh Khan but before that I need a lot of courage.) And currently I don’t have the guts,” he said. (ALSO READ : Anurag Kashyap: We Don’t Take Sports And Sportsmen Seriously) Also Read - '28 Years And Counting'! Not many know it but Anurag and Shah Rukh studied in the same college. In fact, the former was the latter’s senior. Kashyap has gone on record to say that King Khan is more like a brother to him. The rebellious filmmaker even went onto say during a media interaction that he can fight with anyone except SRK. Now, that indeed speaks volumes of his camaraderie with the Badshah of Bollywood. Well, it would certainly be a phenomenal experience to see the two collaborate for a film in the near future and we’re sincerely hoping that it happens sooner than later.
