Celebrated filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who is reeling from the debacle of his latest period drama Bombay Velvet has received yet another setback. Anurag Kashyap and actress Kalki Koechlin have now officially separated after their divorce by mutual consent came through yesterday. The former lovers, who were together for two years, arrived at the Bandra family court together and left in the same car.

Kalki and Anurag met on the sets of Dev D (2008) and sparks flew between them and the couple fell madly in love with each other. After living-in for two years, the duo finally tied the knot in a private ceremony in Ooty. However, soon after the marriage, the couple started to have frequent fights and difference in opinion. A close friend of Anurag insists that Anurag shouldn’t have tied the knot in the first place. “He isn’t made for marriage. The divorce is painful to both but they’ve made a pact to be there for each other. In a way, its the sweetest divorce you’ll ever know,” the source told Mumbai Mirror.
