Actor Anushka Sharma and her cricketer husband Virat Kohli have issued an official statement mentioning that they are contributing to the PM-CARES and the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help the country fight coronavirus more aggressively. One of the most sought-after couples in the country, Virat-Anushka, however, didn’t reveal how much they are donating for the cause. Anushka took to Instagram on Monday morning and shared the official statement on her and Virat’s behalf. The statement read, “Virat and I are pledging our support towards PM-CARES Fund & the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (Mahasrashtra). Celebrities across the fields are doing their bit by contributing to the PM Relief Fund and helping other civic bodies in fighting the spread of the coronavirus in the country. While Akshay Kumar has contributed a sum of Rs 25 crore to the PM Relief Fund, Salman Khan is helping 25,000 industry wage workers by directly putting money in their bank accounts. Stars like Prabhas, Ram Charan, Rajinikanth, Arjun Bijlani, Suniel Shetty, Murad Khetani, Pawan Kalyan and others who belong to the film industry have also made donations.
The industry seems united in getting rid of the deadly virus that has caused 32 deaths in India with over 1100 confirmed cases so far.
