Anushka Sharma's strict advice to her Phillauri team will make us respect her even more

Anushka Sharma is one Bollywood actress who has always been different from her contemporaries. She believes in speaking her mind and standing up for what she feels is right. The fact that she comes from a non film background is the reason that helps her stay grounded despite her success in Bollywood. Also, she is from an army background, which is why discipline and virtues are of utmost importance in her life. Wondering why are we going on and on about her disciplinary attitude? Well, she did something that is not something an actress would do.

Anushka Sharma’s upcoming film ‘Phillauri’, as we all know, has been shot extensively in Punjab. In fact, the backdrop of Anushka and Diljit’s love story seems to have been the farmlands of Punjab. During the shoot of the film, the harvesting season was falling. So, the actress turned producer strictly instructed her team to not damage the wheat crop while shooting a sequence in the fields. Anushka told her team to make narrow pathways so that the crops didn’t get damaged while they shot there. Even though the owners of the fields permitted them to make broader ways into the fields to facilitate the movement of the team and their equipment, Anushka did not take that freedom for granted.

Anushka’s brother Karnesh, who is co-producing the movie with the actress, confirmed saying, “The harvest season is the most important time for the farmers. We were well aware of their sentiments while shooting just after Baisakhi last year. So, we had informed everyone from the team not to damage the wheat crop in any way and to use very narrow pathways in the fields.”

This act of Anushka won the hearts not just of the locals, but also ours. Phillauri releases on March 24 and we are so excited to catch a show!
