Sequels are becoming favourite of all the film makers these days. With so many sequels on board, one more is ready to hit the screen! It is Namastey England. Vipul Amrutlal Shah is planning to ahead with this procrastinated project finally! But you might be surprised to know that he might cast Arjun Kapoor and not Akshay Kumar in this film! Namaste London was a hitmaker with Akki and Kat’s blockbuster Jodi. People have always loved to see them together on screen and this movie made justice to it. However, Arjun will now take the ‘Namaste’ franchise forward.
According to the reports in Midday, Akshay is neck deep busy into his films. He will be next seen in ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Padman’, ‘Gold’ and also will be seen as a judge on a laughter reality show. Naturally looking at his chock-a-bloc diary, the filmmaker had to let go him off this sequel. Interestingly, Akshay Kumar will also not be a part of ‘Housefull 4’ anymore. We guess that Akshay has taken up on him to focus on all slice of life films more than the extended versions!
Also there were reports that Vipul and Akshay were at logger heads due to the film. However, Vipul denied it saying, ” It’s a totally fresh script and a new story. There’s a possibility of the title working out really well, but it’s not a sequel.”
On the other hand, Arjun Kapoor is all geared up for his next film ‘Mubarakan’. He will be seen in a double role in this multi starrer film. Now if he becomes a part of Namastey England, it will be interesting to see who is the leading lady. Katrina’s British accent was loved by the fans in Namaste London and also her look for the film was a huge hit. Not to forget, songs like Rafta Rafta and Teri Yaad Sath Hai are fresh in our minds. It will be interesting to see whether Vipul Amrutlal Shah puts all those elements back in place and give us another loveable film to remember.
