Arjun Rampal, a celebrated actor and model, has essayed different character shades in his career. He has made headlines owing to myriad of films he worked in, but he also became the talk of the town due to his relationship status. He got married to Mehr Jesia in 1998 and had two daughters Mahikaa and Myra. After 20 years of marriage, the couple announced separation in 2018. Later, the ‘Om Shanti Om’ actor introduced his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades and made it official.
The couple are parents to two boys Arik and Ariv. Ever since the duo have been under scrutiny for their status. Rampal did not marry after his divorce. Meanwhile, he enjoys a happy life with his girlfriend.
Breaking silence about his relationship status and his thoughts on marrying Gabriella, Rampal opened up speaking to YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia,”It’s not me, it’s not her. What is marriage? A piece of paper after all. I think we are already married and there is not doubt in my mind about that. But, sometimes what that piece of paper can also do is change you. Because its like you think it’s permanent, its a false notion in fact but you are just legally bound.”
The ‘ Ra.One’ actor believes that the institution of marriage may change people’s attitude towards their partners. “It could change your attitude towards each other. I think that’s how we both feel. Whatever has happened between us was very organic. I don’t want to speak much about it because I don’t want to jinx it. I don’t think I need to justify this to anybody. For us, this is beautiful. You should keep experiencing it for as long as you can. In both our minds, we are married to each other. We are both pushing each other in the right direction and at the same time, we are boyfriend-girlfriend,” the actor chimed.

Live-in relationships are more normalised today than the yesteryears. Every culture has different perception towards their traditions and others. In an old interview with Pinkvilla, both Arjun Rampal and Gabriella Demetriades talked about the societal pressure and their relation. ” I think it’s a very beautiful thing. I think it as great for everybody that wants to do it but I don’t think everybody has to do it like anything in life. We can be together and live together for longer than a married couple and does that make us any less of a couple? No. And there are many people, who can’t get married for whatever reasons and does that make their love any more or less significant? I don’t think so. I think for us it’s like, we are very solid and we are very protected in our love and we don’t need any more validation than that. But you know otherwise, I think it’s a choice. It’s not even a big deal. We still live together, we are a family and I think the most important part is the family,” Gabriella said.
Arjun And Gabriella reportedly met through common friends in 2018. In 2019 Arjun Rampal announced taking the next step with Gabriella when she got pregnant with their firstborn and made the relationship official.
Gabriella is a fashion designer and stylist who runs her own clothing label Deme. She and her sons often accompany Rampal on movie sets too. On the work front, Arjun Rampal was last seen on the second season of ‘Bandish Bandits Season 2’.
