Expressing his excitement for having lent his voice for one of his favorite actors, Armaan said, “It has always been my wish to sing for Varun and he was also keen to have me lend my voice for one of his songs. However, this time, since both our fandoms wanted us to come together and collaborate on a song, it finally happened in the form of ‘Theher Ja’ (the first song from Varun starrer October). So, I am very excited, that I could finally sing for Varun.” He further added, “The song is doing really well and has received positive feedback. It’s humbling to know that we have tried (and people have really appreciated) something new and we managed to touch people’s hearts.” Also Read - Bigg Boss 14: Rubina Dilaik Slams Pavitra Punia For Having Reality Show Background, Says 'She Knows The Craft'

While most musicians in the film industry slam the current trend of old Bollywood and independent songs being rehashed for new films, the playback singer, who himself has lent vocals to a few recreated tracks, feels that the recreated songs receive flak because they are not tastefully done. He further added, “I think if it’s done well, then there’s no harm in it but it is important that original content should also come out regularly. I am very happy that Theher Ja came out well. I have revamped a few classics in the past like ‘Pyaar Manga Hai Tumse’, ‘Ghar Se Nikalte Hi’ among others, but have made sure that there’s justice done to the original version. So, it’s important to recreate songs, keeping the essence of the original. There has to be a fine balance between the original and the remix.” ALSO READ: October Song Thaher Ja Out: Armaan Malik’s Soul Stirring Number For Varun Dhawan Should Be Heard On Loop

Armaan Malik was (officially) launched by Salman Khan as a playback singer in Jai Ho and then ‘Hate Story 3’ catapulted him to fame. Armaan also revealed that he wishes to lend his voice for actor Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh now. He said, “I have had a long wish list and Varun was one of them. Finally, it happened. Now, I wish and look forward to sing for Shahrukh Khan. Also, there’s Ranveer Singh on my wish list.

Talking about the shelf life of singers, Armaan said, “It completely depends on the artist. If you keep doing too much, there’s a chance of burn out. I am here for the long run. It’s very important to choose good music. I believe in quality over quantity, that’s my motto. This is the reason why that many artists back in the days maintained their careers for so long.” When we asked him about one song from last year that he wished could’ve sung it, he replied, “Hawayein from Shah Rukh Khan starrer Harry met Sejal.”

Speaking of his future projects, Armaan added, “There are quite a few songs in the pipeline. Currently, I’m working on a new single, which should be out soon; I can’t wait to show it to my fans. I am also featuring in a video and there’s another song from a movie titled Bazaar. All I can reveal now is that I have quite a few projects that are releasing this year. It’s an exciting period for me as I am getting to work with a lot of new people.”
