Inside the house, Arti had made a shocking revelation about her past life that she was sexually harassed at the age of 13 by a domestic help at her Lucknow house. The actor came out with her story after acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal entered the house and encouraged the contestants to speak out about the personal traumas from the past. Recently, when Arti Singh was asked about Krushna playing down her rape allegations. She replied to the question and told the media portal, “Krushna is my brother. My brother and my mother are upset because I am yet to get married. He did not say it didn’t happen, he said that I said a bit too much inflow. Arti further told Hindustan Times, “This is a normal reaction of a brother. Do you know how upset my mother was that why did I talk about it when it was over! “What Krushna meant was at least I was safe, nothing happened. For him, it is nothing because I was safe. He will want me to cut it short, he wouldn’t want me to talk about it so much. He wasn’t proving me wrong and said it in a protective streak”, Arti explained it well at the end.
In the Chaapaak special episode, Arti revealed that she was alone in the house when their domestic help tried to push himself on her. She said she tried to run away and got bruised but the man didn’t leave her and kept the doors and the windows shut. Arti said she then jumped off the second floor of her building as it was the only way out and got rescued. The actor added that she started having panic attacks after the incident and also slipped into depression and it was only after many years that she could garner the courage to speak out.
