Super popular singer, Sonu Nigam is in middle of a controversy after he decided to voice his opinion on loudspeakers. He lashed out against the idea of observing morning Azaan through loudspeakers by calling it ‘forced religiousness’, and later supported himself by tweeting against similar Hindu and Sikh practices as well. We are a country that takes comments on religion too seriously, so Sonu’s statements were obviously not going to be let be.
A fatwa was issued against the singer by a Maulvi which read whoever shaves his head will get Rs 10 lakh. So as a reply, Sonu asked celebrity hair stylist Aalim Hakim to actually shave his head. Yes, we didn’t expect Sonu to go bald to make a point, but he actually did it. He even called the media for a press conference. After interacting with the media and making his stance on Azaan clear, he excused himself. After a few minutes he returned to the press con with no strand of hair on his head. All said and done. Sonu has shaved his head off, will the cleric, who asked Sonu to go bald actually end up paying him Rs 10 lakh? Well, all we can do is just wait and watch.
